The school

Oakdale Junior School opened in 1997 as a purpose-built junior school catering for pupils aged 7-11 years.  With 480 pupils on roll, it is regarded as a large school for this particular age range.

The post

As our Cover Supervisor you will lead the classroom in the short-term absence of the class teacher, ensuring the children are on task and completing the work set by the Teacher. You will also provide vital assistance in the classroom at other times, whether working with individuals or groups of children or managing more challenging behaviour. This is an incredibly rewarding role and an ideal opportunity if you have teaching ambitions.

You will be enthusiastic, responsible and enjoy working with children, possesses good inter-personal skills and have a desire to support pupils to progress with their learning, an interest in Science is desirable but not essential.

Essential requirements are good standards of English and Mathematics to a minimum of GCSE level.  Candidates should have the confidence and ability to help support pupils with a wide range of needs, across the 7-11 age range. The school

Oakdale Junior School provides an excellent education for children in Years 3 to 6, with 550 pupils on roll. We expect to expand over the next few years and are looking for a Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our established Administration team.

The post

As the first point of contact you really will be the face of our school! Your strong customer service skills and friendly, helpful disposition will support your desire to learn all administrative functions of the office, from dealing with children, parents and visitors to running reports, data entry and supporting finance and HR admin tasks.

In return for your professionalism, commitment and creative thinking, we will offer you a busy and varied role in a supportive and friendly team.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by appointment. 

Working hours are Monday to Friday, pattern to be discussed at interview.  Working weeks will be term time plus Inset days.
