Year 4 Trip to Carey Camp

Year 4 Trip to Carey Camp

We woke up and got ready to go. Then our mums dropped us off and we went into the music room and put our “tucks” in a lunch box. Then we sat outside and waited for the bus. When it came we lined up and put our bags under the bus and sat down; then 3, 2, 1 we were off. We saw loads of things and we were in the bus for a long time. When we got to Carey camp we got off and grabbed any bag and then went to the den and put them there. We went to the green shelter and we met the people that worked there. Next we went to the tent room with the people we would be sharing with (we were in tent 14) then we got our stuff to lay down on and went to our tents to put the under bed down and unpacked our bags. After, we went outside for a little break from the bus and ate our lunch outside— it was a lovely day for it! Then we were asked to go back to the middle of the tents. Then we got into groups, we were with our teacher Mr Wingrove. First we did gutter run—we had to make the gutter form a zig zag run and collect as much water as we could. Then we did the electric wire—we had to get through the ropes without touching them. Then we did the blind fold challenge; you chose a partner and you go into a forest—one person is blindfolded and guided over the logs by their partner. Also we did the climbing wall, that was fun and you could do it blindfolded with wellies on. Then we went back to our tents and got our stuff ready for dinner we had sausage, bacon and chips and for pudding we had something really nice; something really chocolatey and something I could not eat everyday, something so creamy!!!!!!!!!!
